Roll five or six clean socks into balls. Put a laundry basket about three feet from where the child stands.
Toss one sock into the basket. That's it.
Most kids will throw the sock, miss, retrieve it, and throw again โ the retrieval is half the activity. Older kids will move the basket farther on their own, which is the schema doing its job.
Stack two baskets for a "high hoop." Number the socks 1โ5 and call them out. Use a smaller bowl for a "hardest level."
